As someone who was born and raised in the desert of Arizona, I realize that I often take it for granted that I’ve grown up in this unique state and have inherently learned a lot about the surrounding environments.

I was out in the garden the other day and was inspired to make a quick video with interesting facts about Cacti. If you have any other questions about Cacti let me know and I’d be happy to make a new video about a specific species of cacti, or at the very least try to better answer your question.

Watch the video below and enjoy!

  1. I sent a cactus plant to someone recuperating in the hospital and was scolded for it by tjhe recipient. Is there any bad omens or superstitions regarding this plant? The party responded by asking if i wanted her to die. Please let me know.

    1. Hi Trudi, thanks for the comment. I’ve never heard of this before, but looking it up, it appears to depend on the recipient’s beliefs. In Feng Shui, cactus may be considered bad luck because of its thorns and spikes, however in Greek traditions they put cacti near their front doors to ward off troubles and bad energy away from the house.
